Greening Bishopstoke Community Garden
The Greening Bishopstoke team's hard work and creativity has transformed an unloved patch of land into a wonderful garden space. Based at St Pauls Church, Fair Oak Road, Bishopstoke, this space is open for everyone in the community to visit, enjoy and be inspired by. We meet regularly to maintain the garden (especially in the hot summer months), share skills and work on new projects.

Pollinator Patches
The garden is surrounded by many different plants and flowers that support pollinators, create beautiful colours throughout the seasons and a calming environment. We hope this reimagined space will inspire the community to reconsider what they can do with their own green space.
The Veg Boxes
Our veg boxes demonstrate the variety of plants that can be grown throughout the year and how easy it is to try this at home in whatever space you have - from salad in an old carton on a window sil, to a hanging basket with trailing tomatoes to a full box with all the veg for a roast!
Our Bug Hotel
Our beautiful bug hotel is now open to all insect guests! This fun project shows what can be created with recycled materials and a bit of imagination. A space for bugs to shelter and thrive.
Compost Corner
We have built our area using recycled palettes to show how easy (and free) composting can be. Decomposing any grass or plant cuttings from our garden to be reused once it has broken down into soil the future. We also have our black "darlek" bin for any food waste!
